abstract | The invention discloses a mechanical property-based organic matter maturity characterization method, and belongs to the field of organic matter maturity characterization. Performing vitrinite reflectivity determination on a hydrocarbon source rock sample to obtain the organic matter maturity of the hydrocarbon source rock sample, and establishing an organic matter maturity sequence; measuring the Young modulus of the source rock sample by using an atomic force microscope to obtain the Young modulus of organic matters in the source rock samples with different maturity; combining an organic matter maturity sequence and the Young modulus, and constructing an S model of the organic matter maturity and the Young modulus by using a regression analysis method; and measuring the Young modulus of the unknown source rock sample by using an atomic force microscope, and obtaining the organic matter maturity of the unknown source rock sample by using an S model. The method is applied to the aspect of characterization of the maturity of the organic matters, solves various limitations and problems existing when the traditional characterization method and the spectral technology characterization method are used for characterizing the maturity of the organic matters, and has the characteristics of wide application range, small limitation and accurate analysis result. |
