abstract | The invention relates to a counting activity meter for measuring activity of a radioactive source, comprising: the device comprises two radiation detectors, a source placing platform, a shielding structure with an exposed port, a counter corresponding to each detector, a coincidence counter and a data processing device, wherein the two radiation detectors are symmetrically distributed; the source placing platform is used for placing a radioactive source to be detected and is opposite to the exposure port, and the shielding structure is used for shielding the radioactivity of the non-detected part of the radioactive source to be detected from entering the radiation detector; the radiation detector detects radiation events of the radioactive source at the exposed port, the coincidence counter is connected with counters of the two radiation detectors, and the data processing device is used for acquiring the activity of the radioactive source according to the ray counting rate of the radiation detector and the coincidence counting rate of the coincidence counter. The counting activity meter can realize absolute measurement of the activity of the radioactive source emitting positrons without correcting the detection efficiency, and can perform more accurate activity measurement on the radioactive source with lower activity. |
