The alkaloid is (±)‑Homocrepidine A, a racemic mixture, which is prepared by separation from Dendrobium rosea. (±)‑Homocrepidine A can significantly inhibit the expression and secretion levels of inflammatory factors IL‑1β and IL‑8 in human acute monocyte THP‑1 caused by P. acnes, thus showing obvious anti-inflammatory and acne-removing activities. It is used to prepare cosmetics or external ointments with anti-inflammatory and acne-removing effects. |
