abstract The present invention relates to: an injectable aqueous implant preparation for oral tissue regeneration, which has been sterilized by gamma ray or X-ray irradiation, and can be sterilized by a conical system and a 18# (0.838mm inner diameter) 25.4 mm long cannulae are extruded with a force not exceeding 60N, the formulation comprising 25w/w% to 45w/w% of nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite particles derived from natural bone having a size of 50 to 200pm determined by sieving with A mixture of fragments of natural cross-linked fibrous collagen material passed through a 0.5 mm sieve, wherein the weight ratio of nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite to collagen is from 1.8 to 4.5, the formulation containing at least 0.05% (w/w) ascorbic acid; and for Methods of preparing the above-described injectable aqueous implant formulations.
