The present invention relates to methods, uses, systems, arrays, engineered nucleotide sequences and vectors for inhibiting the growth of bacterial populations or for altering the relative proportions of first and second bacterial subpopulations in a mixed population of bacteria. The present invention is particularly useful, for example, for treating microorganisms such as for environmental, medical, food and beverage applications. In particular, the present invention relates to methods of controlling microbially influenced corrosion (MIC) or biofouling of substrates or fluids in industrial or domestic systems. |
