abstract |
The present invention relates to a polyether-modified polyisocyanate composition obtainable by reacting a system comprising: a) a polyisocyanate having an isocyanate group functionality of 2 to 4.5; b) a polyoxyalkylene monoether alcohol; and c) optionally a catalyst; the number average molecular weight of the polyoxyalkylene monoether alcohol is 900g/mol-2000g/mol, and the content of the propylene oxide group is 45 wt% -100 wt%; relative to the total weight of oxyalkylene groups of the polyoxyalkylene monoether alcohol; the equivalent ratio of isocyanate groups and hydroxyl groups of the system is 5: 1-110: 1; the polyisocyanate composition has the following characteristics: i) an average isocyanate functionality of 1.8 to 4.1; ii) an isocyanate group content of 8 to 20% by weight; iii) the content of isophorone diisocyanate trimer is not more than 0.5% by weight; and iv) the amount of polyoxyalkylene monoether structures is greater than 10% and less than 50% by weight, characterized in that ii), iii) and iv) are all relative to the total weight of the polyisocyanate composition. |
