titleOfInvention Application of piceatannol in the preparation of medicaments for preventing and/or treating herpes simplex virus infection
abstract The present invention provides the application of piceatannol in the preparation of a medicament for preventing and/or treating herpes simplex virus infection. The invention proves the inhibitory activity of piceatannol on herpes simplex virus infection through experiments, and the piceatannol has anti-HSV-1 and HSV-2 activity and has extremely low toxicity. After treatment with piceatannol, the viral protein expression of HSV-1 and HSV-2 could be significantly inhibited in a dose-dependent manner. The piceatannol achieves the effect of resisting herpes simplex virus infection by directly inactivating virus particles or intervening in the replication process after the virus enters cells, thereby inhibiting virus proliferation and reducing the viral load in animal and mouse tissues , and improve the physical condition of the mice and increase the body index of the mice. Therefore, piceatannol has the potential to be prepared as a drug for preventing and/or treating herpes simplex virus.
