titleOfInvention Method and aerosol measuring device for determining particle size distribution of aerosols
abstract The invention relates to a method for determining the particle size distribution of an aerosol by means of an aerosol measuring device and an aerosol measuring device. The aerosol particles of the aerosol flowing through the measuring cell are irradiated with a light beam in the measuring cell. The scattered light is recorded by a detector, thereby detecting the optical signal of the aerosol particles in terms of intensity by spectroscopy. Thereby, the size distribution of the optical signal representing the particle size distribution is obtained. The known standard particle size distribution of the dried aerosol particles is matched to the measured particle size distribution, thus eliminating humidity effects on the measured particle size distribution.
