The invention discloses a low-cost, water-resistant, low-smoke, halogen-free, flame-retardant polyolefin sheathing material and a preparation method thereof. The polyolefin sheathing material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 5-10 parts of ethylene vinyl acetate; 15-30 parts of density polyethylene resin; 3-5 parts of maleic anhydride grafted linear low-density polyethylene; 30-60 parts of magnesium hydroxide-coated calcium carbonate; 0.5-1 part of lubricant; 0-1 part of antioxidant ; 1 to 2 parts of silane coupling agent. The polyolefin sheath material has relatively excellent mechanical properties, water resistance, flame retardancy and high temperature pressure resistance, and is easy to process and low in production cost. |
