abstract The invention relates to a metal ion modified Y-type molecular sieve and a preparation method and application thereof. The method comprises the steps of taking an NaY molecular sieve which has the capability of adsorbing and removing COS from gas and can be repeatedly regenerated and used at high temperature as a raw material, firstly activating the NaY molecular sieve at high temperature, then mixing the activated NaY molecular sieve with a nitrate solution of zinc, copper, nickel, cobalt or cerium for modification, finally filtering and calcining at high temperature to obtain a modified Y-type molecular sieve product. The Y-type molecular sieve reserves various advantages of the NaY-type molecular sieve before modification, can adsorb and remove COS in gas and can be repeatedly used through high-temperature regeneration, and the adsorption effect, the adsorption selectivity and the regeneration performance are improved.
