Feminine hygiene pad with nonwoven topsheet having enhanced skin feel |
abstract |
The invention discloses a feminine hygiene pad having a topsheet and an absorbent layer, the topsheet comprising a fibrous nonwoven web material with hydrophilic fibers, the absorbent layer comprising a high internal phase emulsion ( Open-cell foam formed by the polymerization of HIPE). The topsheet and the absorbent layer are disposed in direct face-to-face relationship with each other and are attached to each other in bonded regions. Each first identifiable attachment point between the topsheet and the absorbent layer has an area between the topsheet and the absorbent layer within a 6mm radius of the first identifiable attachment point within the bonding area. Adjacent to the second identifiable attachment point. |
