The method comprises the steps of carrying out aldol condensation reaction on 2-hydroxy-5- (camphor-3-methylene) benzaldehyde serving as a raw material and camphor to obtain 2, 4-di (camphor-3-methylene) phenol; 2, 4-di (camphor-3-methylene) phenol and acryloyl chloride are subjected to esterification reaction to obtain the 2, 4-di (camphor-3-methylene) phenol acrylate. The compound can specifically recognize cysteine, can sensitively detect the content of the cysteine in a solution, and has a good application prospect.
