abstract Electrical current can be delivered to the skin using wearable and non-wearable devices to treat hyperhidrosis or other conditions. A wearable device that delivers electrical current may include an inner assembly that carries one or more electrodes and an outer assembly that can be worn over the inner assembly. Contact between the electrodes and the user's skin can be facilitated using suction, support members, or filler material. The non-wearable device may be grasped by the user or otherwise placed in contact with the treatment site to deliver electrical current to the user's skin. Electrode layouts for wearable and non-wearable devices can be optimized for the current density distribution across the electrodes.
