abstract The invention provides a boron carbide - titanium boride light-weight and high-strength composite ceramic material and a preparation method thereof. 8.20-32.75%, amorphous boron (B) powder 9.75-39.05%, prepared through the following steps: weighing titanium carbide powder and amorphous boron powder; titanium carbide powder and amorphous boron powder are mixed by a roller mixer , rotary evaporation, drying, and sieving to obtain a TiC-B mixed powder; the TiC-B mixed powder is placed in a hot-pressing sintering furnace for heat treatment to obtain a primary B 4 C-TiB 2 composite powder; 4 C-TiB 2 composite powder, boron carbide powder; pass the powder through a planetary ball mill for ball milling, mixing, rotary evaporation, drying, and sieving to obtain B 4 C-TiB 2 composite powder ; 2. The composite powder is placed in a graphite mold for hot pressing and sintering in a hot pressing furnace. The product of the invention has the advantages of good sinterability, fracture toughness and electrical conductivity, can be processed by electric spark, uniform dispersion of TiB 2 agglomerates, controllable components and high bending strength.
