abstract Some embodiments of the present disclosure include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media for use in a wireless network to transmit data on a control plane in a 5G system. For example, some embodiments relate to a User Equipment (UE). The UE includes processor circuitry and radio front-end circuitry. The processor circuit may be configured to transmit, using the radio front-end circuit, a first message for connecting to a 5G network and indicating a capability of the UE related to a cellular internet of things (CIOT). The processor circuit may be further configured to transmit a second message including mobile station caller data to the 5G network using the radio front end circuit and via the control plane. The processor circuit may be further configured to receive a third message from the 5G network using the radio front-end circuit.
