| abstract |
A method or system for determining the susceptibility of a dog to periodontal disease and developing a treatment regimen based on the determined level of susceptibility. The method may include determining a characteristic of the dog selected from at least one of: breed of dog, head shape of dog, size category of dog, weight or body condition of dog, predicted size category or weight of adult dog, or age of dog. The method can further include comparing the signature to a data set containing occurrences of periodontal disease in other dogs having at least one signature. In addition, the method can include detecting an overall susceptibility level of the dog to periodontal disease, and/or displaying a customized recommendation on a graphical user interface of a computer based on the overall susceptibility level of the dog. |
