Some embodiments relate to a method of operating a base station (BS), wherein the method may include generating, by the BS, a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS), determining, by the BS, a position of the DM-RS in a first transmission time slot, by the BS The DM-RS is transmitted to the UE based on the determined position in the first transmission slot, and the DM-RS feedback based cross-link interference (CLI) measurement is processed by the BS, wherein the feedback CLI measurement is in the channel state information (CSI) reporting, and CLI suppression is performed by the BS based on CLI measurements.
