titleOfInvention | Use of a synergistic mixture of extractants for the extraction of rare earth elements from an aqueous medium containing phosphoric acid |
abstract | The present invention relates to the use of a synergistic mixture of extractants for the extraction of at least one rare earth element from an aqueous medium comprising phosphoric acid. Said mixture comprises: - a first extractant of formula (I): wherein R 1 and R 2 , the same or different, represent a linear or branched saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group comprising 6 to 12 carbon atoms, or any A phenyl group optionally substituted by a linear or branched saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbyl group comprising 1 to 10 carbon atoms; and - a second extractant of formula (II): wherein R represents 6 to 12 carbon atoms linear or branched alkyl groups. The present invention can be used to treat phosphate minerals to recover rare earth elements contained in said minerals. |
