abstract The present invention specifically relates to the application of sulfamethoxazole in the preparation of products for preventing and/or treating bovine parainfluenza virus. Bovine parainfluenza virus type 3 is an important pathogen causing respiratory syndrome in cattle on farms. The transmission routes include respiratory and reproductive organs, which may cause severe pneumonia and even infertility. The research results of the present invention provide the application of sulfamethoxazine in the development of products for preventing and/or treating bovine parainfluenza virus. It has been verified that within the safe dosage range of normal cells, sulfamethopyrazine shows anti-bovine parainfluenza virus. The inhibitory effect of virus type 3, blocking the adsorption of the virus to normal cells, is expected to be used in the development of veterinary drugs or feed additives.
