A multilayer substrate is disclosed comprising top and bottom surface layers comprising synthetic nonwoven fibers, and a layer of molten thermoplastic material between the top and bottom layers, wherein the thermoplastic comprises polyethylene or is heated at 100°F to 350°F Has a tan delta value of 0.2 to 0.4 in the °F temperature range. The multi-layer substrate may comprise a cleaning composition supported on the multi-layer substrate, wherein a fluid path through the molten thermoplastic material allows the cleaning composition to travel from the top surface layer to the bottom surface layer. The multilayer substrate may be free of chemical adhesives, wherein the adhesion between the top surface layer and the thermoplastic layer and the adhesion between the bottom surface layer and the thermoplastic layer are instead provided by the thermoplastic itself , the thermoplastic material is bonded to groups of fibers in the top and bottom surface layers that are in contact with the thermoplastic material as it melts. |
