abstract The invention discloses a short peptide, a detection kit and a method for detecting vascular endothelial growth factor, wherein the short peptide is polypeptide 1 or polypeptide 2; the polypeptide 1 is: a polypeptide consisting of amino acid sequence LSTSPHTGGGSC; the polypeptide 2 is: polypeptide 1 is derived from the same by substituting and/or deleting and/or adding one or more amino acid residues. The short peptide is used as a capture antibody, and a method for detecting a specified tumor marker in serum is combined with a chemiluminescence enzyme immunoassay technology (CLIA). The solid-phase biological polypeptide probe is utilized to incubate with the target protein in the serum sample to be detected, and then effective detection can be realized under a catalytic color development system. The method provided by the invention has the advantages of strong specificity, high sensitivity, convenience in operation and low probe manufacturing and purifying cost, and provides an effective way for realizing sensitive and rapid detection of VEGF 165.
