Dip-molded latex products with improved properties are composed of branched block copolymers derived from alkenyl arene-1,3-diene monomer systems and branched polyisoprene homopolymers derived from isoprene form. The polymer is obtained by polymerizing in the presence of an anionic initiator at a temperature of 0-100°C, followed by coupling with a multifunctional coupling agent of formula (R 1 O) 3 Si-Y-Si(OR 2 ) 3 , wherein R 1 and R 2 are independently C 1 -C 6 alkyl, and Y is C 2 -C 8 alkylene. The obtained polymer is a rubber dope with high solids content and low zero shear viscosity. The rubber cement is valuable for making latex and latex products such as dipped products such as condoms, gloves and the like with improved properties. |
