abstract |
Some embodiments of the present invention relate to articles for printing on foamed beverages, comprising: an inkjet cartridge; and a sugar-depleted unfermented wort-based ink formulation disposed in the inkjet cartridge. The unfermented wort is the main colorant of the ink formulation. In embodiments of the present invention, (i) the ratio between the EBC number of the ink formulation and its viscosity at 25°C is at least 400 (centipoise) -1 ; (ii) the ink formulation is characterized at least in that the EBC number is At least 1800 colorant units; (iii) the ink formulation includes at least 10 wt % carbohydrates; (iv) the ink formulation is sugar-depleted such that the weight percent concentration of soluble sugars in the ink formulation is the same as that of carbohydrates. The ratio of weight percent concentrations is at most 0.2 (eg, < 0.1 or <0.05); and (v) at least 60% of the particles of the ink formulation are particles below 400 nanometers. |
