In one aspect, the present disclosure presents an electrosurgical instrument for hemostasis by radiating microwave energy from a distal tip, wherein a conductive radiating electrode is coated in an insulating, non-stick material. In another aspect, the present disclosure provides an electrosurgical instrument for hemostasis using radiofrequency or microwave electromagnetic energy, wherein a distal tip of the instrument includes an electrically conductive hollow needle for delivering fluid to or from a treatment site, wherein the hollow needle is electrically grounded. |
