The invention aims to solve the problems that the removal rate of tetracycline in water by adding a traditional medicament in the existing method is not high, and the tetracycline is not convenient to recycle. The method comprises the following steps: adding a certain amount of bismuth tungstate/magnetic bentonite composite visible light catalytic material into the tetracycline solution to be treated, stirring and oscillating at a certain temperature to obtain a treated solution, and measuring the tetracycline concentration of the treated solution. The method is used for removing tetracycline in water.
