titleOfInvention SNP locus for genetically improving chicken meat quality traits and application method thereof
abstract The invention discloses an SNP locus for genetically improving chicken meat quality traits and an application method thereof, belonging to the field of bioengineering. The invention discloses SNP sites related to chicken texture for the first time, namely C/A mutation at a base 171 of a nucleotide sequence shown in SEQ ID NO.1, and chicken with CC genotype at the sites has better meat quality. The invention provides a method for efficiently screening chicken with excellent meat quality characters for the technicians in the field, the method has short period and high speed, only 2 days are needed from taking of blood samples of individuals to be detected to determining the selection of the individuals to be detected, and each person can at least complete the detection of 216 individuals every day. The method can be popularized and applied in the aspects of chicken quality character detection and meat quality character breeding improvement, has important significance for broiler breeding industry, and has great potential commercial value.
