The invention discovers that drought tolerance of a plant with HvHMT3 overexpression is remarkably enhanced, and tolerance of a plant with HvHMT3-RNAi silencing is remarkably reduced by cloning and analyzing a barley HvHMT3 gene and carrying out functional verification on the gene on barley GP by combining overexpression and RNAi technology. The invention provides theoretical basis and related genes for barley drought stress tolerance breeding and production. |
