abstract The invention provides a recognition method and a recognition system for a turbid estuary zone. The identification method of the estuary turbid zone comprises the following steps: acquiring a remote sensing image of a river mouth through a satellite; preprocessing the remote sensing image; calculating the total suspended matter content of the estuary according to the preprocessed remote sensing image; calculating the chlorophyll content of the river mouth according to the preprocessed remote sensing image; calculating a river mouth turbid zone coefficient according to the total suspended matter content of the river mouth and the chlorophyll content of the river mouth; and comparing the coefficient of the turbid river mouth band with a preset threshold value of the turbid river mouth band, and determining the range of the turbid river mouth band coefficient larger than the threshold value of the turbid river mouth band in the remote sensing image as the maximum turbid river mouth band range. The method for identifying the maximum turbid zone of the estuary can improve the accuracy of identifying the maximum turbid zone range of the estuary, and can accurately obtain the maximum turbid zone ranges of different estuaries and estuaries in different seasons.
