abstract The invention provides a method for improving insulin secretion of islet cells through gene modification, which adopts ERR gamma gene to modify pancreas-related cells. The invention brings specific ERR gamma protein into islet cells, activates pathways related to glycometabolism, and improves the content of ERR gamma protein secreted by islet cells and the amount of insulin. The content of the ERR gamma protein secreted by the islet cells obtained by culturing 7-9 pancreas-related cells infected by the virus containing the ERR gamma gene is 3.2-3.5 ng/ml; the content of insulin secreted by 22mmol of glucose is 71.2-75 ng/ml, and the content of insulin secreted by 2mmol of glucose is 11.6-12 ng/ml.
