abstract The invention discloses a distortion correction method of an ultra-wide viewing angle image, wherein the ultra-wide viewing angle image is obtained by a compound eye imaging system, and the distortion correction method comprises the following steps: inputting an ultra-wide viewing angle image to be corrected, which is obtained by a compound eye imaging system, and obtaining the resolution, the horizontal viewing angle and the vertical viewing angle of the ultra-wide viewing angle image; acquiring a staring angle alpha and a viewing angle width beta of the corrected image, and representing each pixel of the ultra-wide viewing angle image to be corrected by using a polar coordinate system; carrying out pixel shifting on pixels of the ultra-wide viewing angle image according to the staring angle alpha and the viewing angle width beta; and after the pixel is moved, splicing the images of the corrected area and the uncorrected area to finish the image correction.
