abstract |
Various devices, systems and methods are disclosed for measuring solution properties of samples including microorganisms. In one embodiment, a sensor apparatus is disclosed that includes: a sample container including a sample chamber configured to receive a sample; and a reference sensor component including a reference catheter having a reference catheter lumen defined therein. The reference catheter lumen may be at least partially filled with reference buffer gel, buffer solution, or a wicking member. A section of the reference conduit may extend into the sample chamber. The reference electrode material may be positioned at the proximal end of the wicking member or extend partially into the reference catheter lumen. The sensor device may also include an active sensor component having an active electrode in contact with the sample fluid. The sample in the sample chamber can be aerated through aeration ports defined along the surface of the sample container. |
