The invention discloses the application of a GmLCL3 gene in regulating soybean photoperiod and flowering time and improving soybean yield. The invention utilizes CRISPR/CAS9 technology to obtain GmLCL3 soybean mutant plants, and it is found that after the GmLCL3 gene in soybean is mutated, the growth period of soybean can be prolonged, the flowering of plants can be inhibited, and the yield of soybean can be improved. Therefore, by constructing GmLCL3 soybean mutant plants, the sensitivity of soybean to photoperiod can be changed, the flowering of soybean can be delayed, the growth period of soybean can be prolonged, and the yield of soybean can be improved. The discovery of the present invention has very important academic value for further revealing the molecular mechanism of photoperiod regulating soybean flowering, and provides theoretical basis and genetic resources for promoting the breeding of soybean high-yield and high-quality varieties. |
