The thermoplastic elastomer compound comprises: (a) at least about 40% by weight of a thermoplastic polyurethane selected from the group consisting of polycaprolactone-type thermoplastic polyurethanes, polyether-type thermoplastic polyurethanes, and combinations thereof; and (b) up to about 5% by weight % polysiloxane. Thermoplastic elastomer compounds can be molded into thermoplastic articles that are substantially free of bloom after weathering, while still possessing good processability, useful function, and desirable aesthetics. The thermoplastic compounds are especially useful for making overmolded thermoplastic articles. |
