titleOfInvention Compton Camera with Segment Detection Module
abstract A Compton camera for medical imaging is divided into sections (11), wherein each section (11) includes a portion of a scatter detector (12), a portion of a capture detector (13) and a portion of the electronics (14) part. The different sections (11) can be positioned together to form a Compton camera that arcs around a portion of the patient space. Through the use of sections (11), any number of sections (11) may be used to fit a multimodal imaging system.
