| abstract |
The present disclosure relates to a transilluminator for projecting facial blood vessels. A portable intraoral transilluminator (1) is described for projecting some of the blood vessels of the lower face of a patient (24) prior to surgical or cosmetic interventions. The transilluminator has a central LED (7) that illuminates the interior area of the patient's mouth, allowing visualization of the facial arteries and some of their branches, allowing their projection. The use of transilluminators reduces the risk of epidermal necrosis and bruising in patients (24) undergoing cosmetic facial coordination procedures using dermal fillers and other surgical procedures or cosmetic interventions. |
