Combination of IRS/STAT3 dual modulator and anticancer agent for the treatment of cancer |
abstract |
The present invention relates to a combination of a dual modulator of IRS/STAT3 and an anticancer agent for the treatment of cancer. Specifically, the present invention provides a combination of a compound of formula (III) or (IV) with the following agents: (i) a mitogen-activated protein kinase (MEK) inhibitor and/or a mutated B-Raf inhibitor; ( ii) anticancer drugs; (iii) immunotherapeutic agents; (iv) epidermal growth factor inhibitor (EGFR) inhibitors and/or EGFR antibodies; (v) chemotherapeutic agents; and (vi) mTOR inhibitors, or their certain combinations. The combination provides an at least additive, preferably synergistic, therapeutic effect. The present invention also relates to the treatment of cancer using a combination therapy comprising a dual modulator of IRS and Stat3 in combination with an immunotherapeutic agent. The combination can be used to sensitize tumors to immunotherapy. |
