The present invention provides a polyester-based fiber having a crimp, wherein the polyester-based fiber is vertically hung under a load of 4 mg/dtex at a temperature of 90 to 120° C. When the dry heat treatment was performed for 60 seconds, the difference between the fiber length of the polyester fiber after the heat treatment under a load of 4 mg/dtex and the fiber length of the polyester fiber under no load after the heat treatment was less than 3%. As a result, it is possible to provide a pile fabric with high crimp removability with respect to low-temperature polishing at 90 to 160° C. to the pile surface layer portion, and also to provide a pile fabric with good appearance, piling recovery properties, and volume.
