The invention relates to the field of alkaline electrochemical generators, in particular to the field of storage batteries. More specifically, the present invention relates to a secondary electrochemical generator with a zinc electrode, which is characterized by containing: a) an electrolyte, which is an alkaline aqueous solution with a molar concentration of 4M-15M hydroxyl anion, so a concentration of soluble silicates, expressed as silicon dioxide (SiO 2 ), of 0.15-80 g/l; b) a zinc electrode comprising a conductive ceramic, at least partly comprising nitrides and/or hafnium carbides and/or carbides and /or nitride and/or magnesium silicide and/or carbide and/or niobium nitride and/or carbide and/or nitride and/or titanium silicide and/or vanadium nitride and/or carbide and/or optional Azo-nitrides of any two metals from hafnium, magnesium, niobium, titanium and vanadium. |
