The present invention also relates to a method for producing tomato with increased content of coenzyme Q 10. The combined vector obtained by the above construction method is transformed into Agrobacterium GV3101 by heat shock, and wild-type tomato is transformed; after obtaining independent resistant callus, further Tomato lines with high content of coenzyme Q 10 were obtained by differentiation and regeneration. After cultivation and screening, the yield of coenzyme Q 10 in the fruit of the T3 generation of the tomato strain HUCD of the present invention can reach more than 7 times that of the wild type tomato fruit (~0.151 mg/g), and can be stably inherited with no difference in phenotype; that is, the present invention Coenzyme Q 10 content in the tomato line HUCD was significantly increased.
