abstract | The present invention provides a process for preparing a colorless polyisocyanate composition. The method comprises the following steps: trimerizing aliphatic/cycloaliphatic diisocyanate monomers in the presence of a catalyst to produce an isocyanurate-containing polyisocyanate composition; the catalyst is pre-formulated into a solution prior to use and the pH of the solution is adjusted to 5-7, preferably 6-7, more preferably 6-6.5. The invention can directly prepare the polyisocyanate composition with lower chroma and excellent chroma stability in the long-term storage process without any post-treatment. |
