abstract The invention discloses a preparation method of (1S,4R)-1-methyl-4-(1-methylvinyl)-2-cyclohexene-1-alcohol. The intermediate compound is prepared by double bond addition and hydroxyl protection; the product is finally prepared by elimination reaction and continued deprotection. The method has the advantages of two-step continuous reaction, short process route, few by-products, high chiral selectivity of the obtained product, and a yield of more than 70%, which is greatly improved compared with the existing technology.
