This patent provides a system and method for rapidly generating an optical coherence frontal blood vessel image. Differential interferograms obtained using spectral domain or swept source optical coherence tomography systems are convolved with a Gabor filter computed from depth information at the tissue surface, as shown in the examples in the text. The frontal blood flow image is then generated by processing the differential interferogram after Gabor convolution without performing fast Fourier transform and k-space resampling. In another example, two interferograms at the same location are separately convolved with a Gabor filter, the magnitude of the resulting interferogram is subtracted to generate a differential interferogram magnitude map, and the resulting signal is further processed to generate frontal blood flow Image, where the fast Fourier transform and k-space resampling required by other methods are not performed. Compared to the traditional OCTA algorithm, the OCTA method disclosed here has faster data processing speed. |
