titleOfInvention | Sensor components with identifier determination |
abstract | The present invention provides a combination assembly comprising a process assembly and a sensor assembly attachable to the process assembly. The process component includes an indicator element and a type identifier. The indicator element is arranged to rotate relative to a reference component and corresponding to a reference axis. The sensor assembly comprises: a first sensor adapted to detect a rotational position and/or rotational movement of an indicator element; a second sensor adapted to detect a type identifier; an energy source; and A switch is actuatable between an off state and an on state that initiates a cycle of operation. The first sensor is operative to detect the amount of rotational movement performed by the indicator element, and the second sensor is operative to detect the type identifier. During the operating cycle, the first sensor and the second sensor operate sequentially to prevent peak resource draw from the sensors from occurring at the same time. |
