titleOfInvention Preparation method of copper-nickel alloy foam
abstract Despite the potentially better properties and wider applicability of alloy foams (or porous alloys) compared to pure metal foams, successful fabrication of such alloy foams is very rare. The processing of three-dimensional copper-nickel alloy foams is achieved by a strategic solution alloying method based on oxide powder reduction or sintering processes or both. Solid solution alloy foams with five different compositions were successfully created, resulting in open-cell structures with different porosity. The corrosion resistance of the synthesized copper-nickel alloy foam is better than that of pure copper foam and pure nickel foam.
