abstract The invention discloses the application of protein PNR1 in cultivating high-efficiency plant varieties of phosphorus nutrition. The present invention also discloses the application of PNR1 protein in at least one of the following (1) to (9): (1) regulating plant phosphorus content; (2) increasing plant phosphorus content; (3) regulating plant phosphorus absorption rate; ( 4) Improve plant phosphorus absorption rate; (5) Promote plant phosphorus accumulation and/or phosphorus absorption; (6) Regulate plant growth and development; (7) Promote plant growth and development; (8) Regulate plant yield and/or quality; (9) ) increases plant yield and/or quality. Experiments have shown that PNR1 protein and its encoding gene have the function of regulating plant phosphorus absorption, which has important theoretical and practical significance for further elucidating the molecular mechanism of plant phosphorus nutrition and cultivating new crop varieties with high phosphorus nutrition through genetic engineering. .
