titleOfInvention | Desert sand and filamentous cellulose in concrete and mortar |
abstract | The present disclosure provides concrete and mortar mixtures and compositions thereof having low quality sand such as desert sand, hydraulic binder (cement), and filamentous cellulose, wherein the desert sand/spherical sand replaces conventional concrete rivers sand. The present disclosure also relates to filamentous cellulose such as cellulose nanofilaments (CF), cellulose nanofilaments, cellulose fibrils (CNF), and microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) with hydraulic binders ( cement) together as a concrete/mortar and sand adhesion additive, and a method of making said concrete. This method also relates to a method of preventing the individual sand particles from sliding relative to each other and thus similarly assisting in stabilizing the building material. |
