abstract |
The present invention provides a cholesteric liquid crystal layer having excellent reflection anisotropy, low haze, and high circular polarization degree of reflected light, and a method for producing the same. The present invention also provides a laminate, an optically anisotropic body, and a reflective film comprising the above-mentioned cholesteric liquid crystal layer. The cholesteric liquid crystal layer is formed using a liquid crystal compound, and on at least one of a pair of main surfaces of the cholesteric liquid crystal layer, the molecular axis of the liquid crystal compound is oriented along at least one direction in the plane. The molecular axis of the liquid crystal compound is inclined with respect to the main surface of the cholesteric liquid crystal layer, and changes while continuously rotating. The arrangement direction of the bright portion and the dark portion is inclined with respect to the main surface of the cholesteric liquid crystal layer. |
