Mandibular advancement device with spaced apart sets of electrical components |
abstract |
A mandibular advancement device for adjusting the mandible in an advanced position relative to the user's upper jaw. The device includes a maxilla splint having first and second splint body ends and a splint bridge, and further includes a mandibular splint coupled to the maxilla splint by a positioning structure. The apparatus includes an electronics module subdivided into a first set of electronic components positioned at a first clip body end and a second set of electronic components positioned at a second clip body end. Two spaced apart sets of electronic components located at the two ends of the maxillary splint are electrically interconnected to form an electronic module. Thus, the device has a smooth and compact configuration that is convenient to wear for many hours during sleep treatment. |
