titleOfInvention Electrolytic cells and electrolytic devices
abstract The present invention provides an electrolytic cell and an electrolytic device capable of easily electrolyzing carbon dioxide into carbon monoxide and oxygen with low activation energy. The carbon dioxide electrolytic cell of the present invention includes a cathode, an anode, and a solid electrolyte having oxide ion conductivity. The electrolytic cell is characterized in that the cathode is the following (A) or (B). (A) contains a metal and a first mayenite-type compound; (B) contains a metal and a second mayenite-type compound, and the second mayenite-type compound contains a mayenite-type compound having electronic conductivity.
