abstract | The present invention relates to efflux inhibitor compounds, compositions and methods of use thereof. More specifically, the present invention includes deuterated analogs of Ikrita that have excellent pharmacokinetic properties such that it is now possible to promote therapeutic agents in patients with diseases such as breast cancer. Efflux transporters such as drug resistance protein (BCRP) and P-glycoprotein (P-GP) accumulate and distribute to effective levels in cells or compartments protected by efflux transporters. The transporter-protected compartments include brain, spinal cord, nerve, cerebrospinal fluid, testis, eyeball, retina, inner ear, placenta, breast, liver, biliary tract, kidney, intestine, lung, adrenal cortex, endometrium, hematopoietic cells, Stem cells and solid tumors.
